Gov. Jay Nixon appointed Springfield businessman Jim Hodge to the Missouri Citizens’ Commission on Compensation for Elected Officials.
The managing partner of executive outsourcing consultancy EOS LLC was among 10 appointees statewide, according to a news release.
A Democratic appointee, Hodge and other committee members are tasked with establishing the compensation of state officials, members of the General Assembly and state judges.
The commission is required to conduct at least four public hearings to inform a salary compensation report sent to the secretary of state, according to the release.
Hodge, a member of Springfield Business Journal’s 2016 class of Men of the Year, works to provide leadership in the roles of CEO, chief financial officer, chief operating officer and executive-level sales and marketing.
The other Missouri Citizens’ Commission on Compensation appointees were:

• Andrew Zellers (D), Kansas City.
