Springfield Brewing Co., distillery to launch tap room in Rogersville

Posted online

Springfield Brewing Co. and its sister company, Ty Iechyd Da Distillery, are expanding again after recently announcing plans for a location in Willard.

Dubbed 125 Tap & Tasting Room, the facility would be located at 1846 MO-125 in Rogersville, according to a news release. Near Pyramid Foods' headquarters in Rogersville, the tap and tasting room is designed to appeal to residents of that city, Strafford and east Springfield. Officials declined to disclose the estimated project cost.

"We are thrilled to bring the concept of a tap and tasting room to the east side of Springfield and to the Rogersville/Strafford communities," said Brian Allen, director of brewery and distillery operations for SBC and Ty Iechyd Da, in the release. "We hope this destination will combine our passion for craft beer and spirits with the art of a great woodfired pizza – all to create an inviting space indoors and outside, for friends and families to gather, relax and savor some of our finest local flavors."

The 125 Tap & Tasting Room concept would replace Bub's Distillery, which is listed as permanently closed in its Google profile. Renderings from architecture firm Arkifex Studios LLC provided by SBC show an outdoor movie screen and a playground on-site.

The tap and tasting room would have a selection of SBC's craft beers on tap, as well as spirits from Ty Iechyd Da, according to the release. Woodfired pizza is slated to round out the experience.

The plans come about a month after SBC and Ty Iechyd Da announced the companies would add a tap and tasting room in Willard, adjacent to the Frisco Highline Trail, according to past reporting.

SBC also recently expanded Ty Iechyd Da, pronounced “Tea-Yah-Key-Da," into the space that housed the brewery's live music venue called The Cellar, according to past reporting.
