The poster is a print of a painting commissioned by the National Thoroughbred Racing Association. Big Brown jockey Kent Desormeaux will autograph the piece that will then be auctioned on eBay to benefit the NTRA Charities–Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund.
Sommer-Luarca did a similar painting last year of racehorse Barbaro during the Kentucky Derby. That piece sold on eBay for $14,400, also donated to NTRA Charities.
Big Brown is heading into the race with earlier wins at the Kentucky Derby and Preakness races, positioning him for a possible Triple Crown victory, what could be the first in 30 years, according to the New York Racing Association.
