Springfield agents perform well in Real Trends/The Wall Street Journal listing

Posted online
Four Springfield Realtors are garnering nationwide recognition after being named among the Top 50 U.S. agents in transaction sides by the Wall Street Journal and REAL Trends. The listing is one of four that comprises The Real Estate Top 200. Other categories in which there were 50 honorees were individual sales volume, team sales volume and team transaction sides.

The four local agents – Tom Rieken of Murney Associates, Ethel Curbow of Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realtors, Sherrie Loveland of Murney, and John Heitz of Re/Max House of Brokers – were the only Missouri agents to appear on the individual transaction-sides listing. In each real estate transaction, there are two sides – the buyer and seller – that can be represented by a real estate agent.

Each agent was chosen based on the numbers of real estate transactions posted in 2005. For the agents/transaction sides listing, individual agents were allowed to have no more than one full-time and one part-time assistant working with them, Loveland said, and larger teams appeared on the team listing.

Here’s how the local Realtors placed on the list:

• No. 28 Tom Rieken, Murney Associates, 206.5 transaction sides

• No. 30 Ethel Curbow, Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realtors, 206 transaction sides

• No. 42 Sherrie Loveland, Murney Associates, 182 transaction sides

• No. 50 John Heitz, Re/Max House of Brokers, 175 transaction sides
