Employer Advantage office building
3131 Ten Pin Lane, Joplin
Anderson Engineering Inc. is the civil engineer of a 30,000-square-foot renovation to transform a 1980s bowling alley into a mix of open and traditional office space for human resources and payroll company Employer Advantage. Anderson Engineering officials said the drastic change of use to the building created structural and maintenance challenges, as well as design opportunities, which is showcased with a mezzanine. The original light fixtures and wood flooring will be repurposed. Paragon Architecture LLC is the project architect, R. E. Smith Construction Co. is the construction manager, JS Smith Consulting Engineers PC is the structural engineer, and RTM Engineering Consultants LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. The project is slated for completion in October.
