Project description: More than a year of work at Springfield Underground is coming to a close this summer as DeWitt & Associates wraps up the 11th building constructed in the underground space. Officials say the dry warehouse, with potential for refrigeration, is located on the western edge of the development, adding to the existing 2.5 million square feet of warehouse and data storage 100 feet below ground near the intersection of Kearney Street and U.S. Highway 65. JPS & Associates Inc. is the project architect, with engineering by J&M Engineering LLC and RTM Engineering Consultants LLC. Excavation work was handled by Gillespie Excavating Co. LLC.
Tea Bar & Bites Bakery & Cafe changed ownership; the Springfield-Greene County Health Department relocated one of its clinics; and a Joplin real estate investment organization affiliated with a national trade group formed the Springfield Real Estate Investors Association.
