Linn
The State Technical College of Missouri’s Utility Technician Center is a $12.2 million facility to house the new utility systems technician degree program. It is designed with administrative, classroom and lab spaces, and the key feature is a 20,000-square-foot, 40-foot-high indoor lab. The lab will have a dirt floor, facilitating the use of heavy equipment to train on setting, climbing and wiring utility poles. Paragon Architecture LLC is the project architect with engineers Toth & Associates Inc., civil and structural; and IMEG Corp. (Rock Island, Illinois), mechanical. The project is slated for completion in spring 2020.
