Following the city’s sale of Firehouse No. 1 in 2018, microbrewery Hold Fast Brewing has signed on as tenant. Near downtown Springfield, an adaptive reuse plans to transform the engine bay into a brewhouse and tasting room. Plans include an outdoor patio with space for a food truck vendor. Hood-Rich Inc. is the project architect, and Stinson Building Co. is general contractor. Engineering work is by Bergmann Engineering Co. LLC, structural; and RTM Engineering Consultants LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. The project is expected to be completed in July.
A relocation to Nixa from Republic and a rebranding occurred for Aspen Elevated Health; Kuick Noodles LLC opened; and Phelps County Bank launched a new southwest Springfield branch.
