Sedalia-based Septagon Construction Co. Inc. is the general contractor for the Taney County Commission’s 107,602-square-foot judicial center and jail. Kansas-based HMN Architects is the architect and interior designer, and Butler, Rosenbury & Partners is the associate architect for the estimated $27 million project. Engineers are Kansas City-based Henderson Engineers, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection; Anderson Engineering Inc., civil; Springfield-based Palmerton & Parrish Inc., geotechnical; Kansas City-based Johnston, Burkholder & Associates, structural; Topeka, Kan.-based Montgomery Hoffman & Associates, food service; and Texas-based Latta Technical Services, security engineering. Scheduled for completion in August, the facility will include courtrooms, judges’ chambers, offices for court clerks, prosecuting attorneys and the sheriff, and a 250-bed jail.
