Spring 2008 Project Report: Stormy Point Welcome Center

The $2 million Stormy Point Welcome Center at 3179 Gretna Road will be finished by the end of June, according to general contractor Shannon McMurdo of Nixa-based WoodStone Builders. McMurdo said the 22,000-square-foot building for owner/developer VPG Partners LLC of Branson will house the corporate office of Stormy Point Resort Center. Branson-based General Design Inc. is the architect for the project, and another Branson firm, Mesa Consulting Engineers, is the civil engineer. Battlefield-based Pond Creek Design is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. First Community Bank of the Ozarks is the lender for the project.
