Spotify hit with $150M class-action suit

Camper Van Beethoven and Cracker frontman David Lowery has filed a class-action suit against streaming music service Spotify.

He seeks at least $150 million in damages over claims the company knowingly reproduces distributes copyrighted compositions without obtaining mechanical licenses.

The complaint alleges Spotify has unlawfully distributed copyrighted music compositions to more than 75 million users.
