Spotify gets closer to IPO

Streaming music subscription service Spotify is moving closer to an initial public offering.

The company hired Paul Vogel, a Wall Street veteran who most recently ran the internet and media research group at Barclays, as head of investor relations.

Vogel reports to Barry McCarthy, Netflix's former chief financial officer who became CFO of Spotify last summer.
