‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ swings to top of box office

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" performed well both domestically and internationally during its opening weekend.

The film from Sony and Marvel brought in $117 million at the domestic box office and another $140 million internationally.

The domestic debut is Sony's second-highest opening ever and the second-biggest opening for a Spider-Man film behind 2007's "Spider-Man 3."
