Spectrum Cable was ordered by a Texas judge to pay $7 billion to the family of a woman who was murdered.
Roy Holden Jr., a former installer for the company, allegedly killed 83-year-old Betty Thomas in December 2019. He worked in her home and returned the next day to kill her, according to the allegations.
Thomas' family has alleged Spectrum failed to properly screen Holden. Further, the company is accused of ignoring warnings of his troubling behavior in the past.
