Spain’s long economic nightmare is finally over

Nearly a decade in crisis, Spain’s economy is now growing with export goods and job creation spurring 3 percent expansion in the last year.

This is a country where unemployment peaked at 26 percent in what’s been described as economic carnage, according to The New York Times. And while there’s still 18 percent unemployed, major cities like Barcelona are rebounding, as are Spain’s wine regions at entrepreneurial vineyards.

The turnaround signals a positive movement for Europe and the rest of the global economy, the Times reports.
