SpaceX to attempt historic rocket launch tonight

SpaceX is making a return to the launch pad with a mission to put its Falcon 9 orbital rocket into space, and then return its booster safely back to Earth.

In June, an attempt resulted in a Falcon 9 disintegrating shortly after liftoff.

Blue Origin – the space company backed by Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos – about a month ago successfully launched a rocket into space and landed it safety back on Earth.
