SpaceX sued for labor violations

Posted online
Elon Musk's SpaceX, the private space launch provider, is being sued by former employees who say they weren't allowed to take breaks, weren't paid overtime, and that the company failed to give them enough warning before a big round of layoffs.

Musk, who also is founder and CEO of electric car maker Tesla Motors, founded SpaceX in 2002. It designs, manufactures and launches spacecrafts for commercial purposes. It also has a $1.6 billion contract with NASA to fly supplies to the International Space Station, according to CNNMoney.

Representatives of both sides reached by CNNMoney declined to comment on the case.
