SpaceX stumbles as booster landing fails

For the third time in roughly a year, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk’s space-transportation company SpaceX on Sunday failed to successfully land the main part of a spent rocket on a floating ocean platform.

After delivering a satellite into orbit, the unmanned craft returned to the planet and touched down harder than intended, causing one of its landing legs to break.

Last month, SpaceX successfully landed a used booster after it went into space.
