A former grocery store giant may be looking to small towns like Mount Vernon to begin his new line of stores.
Dave Trottier, former owner of the Smitty's grocery stores in Springfield, Republic and Joplin, said he plans to open Summer Fresh Supermarkets Inc.
Trottier says he plans to look to small towns like Mount Vernon and Cassville to open his new stores. No definite plans have been made yet for the Mount Vernon area.
