The College of the Ozarks board of trustees has voted to name the college's School of Education for Lamar Louise Curry.

Curry, a longtime member of the board of trustees and a college benefactor, is a lifelong resident of south Florida and has been a prominent educator for three decades. Her pupils ranged from politician Bob Graham to entertainer Desi Arnaz.

Also, two new cabins at the college's Camp Lookout will be named in honor of Elizabeth Dole and her grandmother. Camp Lookout is a Christian camp for economically disadvantaged youth from Taney and Stone counties.
