Posted online

by Carol Harris, Branson area, and Mary Engler-Guccione, Joplin area

Fiber-optic cable was recently installed in the Noel area.

The cable provides telephone customers in Noel, and neighboring Southwest City, with better reception.

The new $750,000 project will speed up connection time on the Internet, as well as boost capacity for long-distance calling.

The Noel Elementary School plans on installing computers with Internet access in each classroom this coming school year.
