The board of directors of the Newton County Ambulance District is planning a new building to house its headquarters and the Neosho station.

The board has authorized Pat Kelly, director, to pursue the purchase of a tract of land and proceed with architectural drawings. At this time, the board is not releasing the location of the proposed site.

The new building will be paid for with existing revenues and some invested money. The district's 1998 budget includes $140,000 in capital revenue that has not been appropriated.
