The Sabreliner Corporation has agreed to sell more the $42 million in aircraft and simulators to the United States Na-
vy.
Sabreliner is the parent company of Premier Turbines in Neosho, which employs 144 people in the Neosho area.
The company says this sale will include 17 aircraft and simulators built by Sabreliner.
The Navy has contracted with the company for the last seven years and will
continue to do so until September of
1988.
Sabreliner was awarded the $242 million dollar UNFO contract in 1990.
The company bought and rebuilt 17 Sabreliner business jets and installed fighter aircraft radar in each plane.
The work under this contract will take place in the Neosho plant and is expected to bring more jobs to the area.
Missouri Congressman Roy Blunt said the company was awarded the contract because dedication and commitment to quality, and a strong midwestern work ethic among the employees were recognized by the government.
