Avid golfers may have more room to tee off in Neosho.

The Neosho City Council voted earlier this month to approve a proposed $2.5 million project to expand the Neosho Municipal Golf Course.

The project would expand the course by nine holes, making a total of 27 holes.

Eighteen holes will be open during the four-phase construction project. Funding for the project will come from increased greens and membership fees.
