A local college is expanding.

Crowder College of Neosho is adding a new dormitory and an agricultural science center to its campus.

College President Kent Farnsworth made the announcement last week.

Construction on the dormitory is to begin immediately and could be ready by the fall of 1999.

Money for the projects was raised by the board and through private donations. More than $3 million will be spent on both buildings.
