A former NBC affiliate sportscaster
and his wife have opened their own business.
Jim Otey, former sports director and anchor for KSNF-TV 16, Joplin, and his wife, Lynn, have opened The Teacher's Corner.
The business at 100 W. Spring St., on the square in Neosho, caters to teachers and home educators by carrying educational supplies, home-schooling supplies and a laminating service.
The store is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.

Under construction beside the existing Republic branch of the Springfield-Greene County Library District – which remains in operation throughout the project – is a new building that will double the size of the original, according to library officials.
