The city of Mount Vernon will be getting some new sidewalks.
The City Council voted last week to spend $50,000 to repair sidewalks on the public square.
The council also looked at building nearly 100 new housing units with 300 separate dwellings in the southern part of the city.
The council will review plans for construction and zoning later.
