An annual summary of property-tax transactions was not prepared for the board of trustees, and the town did not turn over a list of delinquent taxes to
the county collector as required by state law.
?McCord's budgets did not contain all information required by state law, and certain financial reports were not fully complete and accurate.
?Accounting controls and procedures needed improvement.
The village did not issue receipt slips for all monies received, nor was a daily listing of receipts prepared.
The village did not ensure that all contracts were in writing.
The board of trustees did not adequately document its review and approval of expenditures.
?Policy regarding public access to records was not complete.
The village clerk, who is the custodian of records, indicated she did not accept a written request for records unless it was delivered to her personally.
