The citizens of Lamar can expect to see some improvements to their city streets.

In a meeting late last month, the City Council approved three projects totalling $196,617.

The projects include a contract to extend and improve Howard Street from U.S. Highway 160 north to Sixth Street, paving for the new section and installation of a new water line where a new water tower is scheduled to be built.
