AT&T Wireless has announced that its new service, Digital Personal Communications Service (PCS), is available in southwest Missouri, including the counties of Jasper, Newton, Barton, Dade, Lawrence, Barry and McDonald.
The service expands to digital phone services to include Caller ID, voice mail and a text pager that allows messages to be sent via an Internet e-mail system.
AT&T said the new technology prevents cloning, the illegal copying of a legitimate phone number that allows unauthorized callers to use the phone.
