The Eagle-Picher Company is flying high in production.

The company's achievements involve nickel-hydrogen cell and battery design, as well as the development and manufacturing of satellite power applications.

The company says it has managed to place more than 200,000 nickel-hydrogen cell hours in orbit without failure.

According to Eagle-Picher, more than 200 nickel-hydrogen batteries are operating in space.

More than 90 percent of the world's most advanced satellites are powered by these batteries, made by Eagle Picher.
