Land Go Broadcasting of Joplin has acquired its fourth radio station in less than two years.
The company, owned by Bob Landis, Bobby Landis and Pat Golay, began in 1996 when the three bought KMOQ radio station. The trio later bought KQYX and WMBH.
Land Go's latest acquisition, KJML-FM, a country music station, gives the company two FM and two AM stations. The station sold for $550,000. Land Go is now awaiting approval from the Federal Communications Commission.
The Cape Girardeau-based radio group Zimmer has four other radio stations in Joplin, tying with Land Go.
