The Missouri Housing Development Commission has approved tax credits for a Joplin apartment complex.
The Park Apartments was awarded nearly $500,000 in state and federal tax credits. The 192-unit apartment complex is located on Campbell Parkway, west of Connecticut Avenue.
The commission approved $246,407 in federal tax credits and $246,407 in state credits for the property.
Kelcor Inc., the complex's new owner, plans to refurbish the apartments to provide more solid, affordable housing in the area.
