A local television station has received a regional award.
KSNF-TV 16 of Joplin has been awarded the Edward R. Murrow Award for the Best Newscast in a Small Market.
The Murrow award was established in 1971 and has been recognizing excellence in broadcast journalism since then.
Joplin competed against eight other states for the award, including North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Kansas.
KSNF will go on to compete nationally with five other regional winners.

Dame Chiropractic LLC emerged as the new name of Harshman Chiropractic Clinic LLC with the purchase of the business; Leo Kim added a second venture, Keikeu LLC, to 14 Mill Market; and Mercy Springfield Communities opened its second primary care clinic in Ozark.
