The General Craft Mall, 306 Wall Ave., Joplin, was destroyed in an early morning fire earlier this month.

Fire investigators said they believe the mall fire began in a refrigerator after its compressor overheated and spread from there.

The mall held 70 craft booths, all stocked for the holiday shopping season.

The cost of the damage has not been determined. Owners John and Chevelle Gilmore said they plan to rebuild.
