Home sales are on the rise in the Joplin area.
The Joplin Board of Realtors stated that statistics show an increase in buying during the month of March.
The board said more than 130 homes were sold last month, double the number sold in February.
Only 122 homes sold in the same month a year ago.
The average price of homes sold was around $73,000, and the bulk of the homes contained three bedrooms, according to the board.
