A new full-service car wash is open in time for summer grime.
The Village Depot recently opened with what the owners say is the latest and best equipment available to get cars their cleanest.
Jerry Smith and Harley Embrey spent $800,000 to build the mega car bath.
The store, located on Maiden Lane, has a four-car quick lube, five regular wash bays with brush and high-power hose, and two drive-through automatic bays.

Under construction beside the existing Republic branch of the Springfield-Greene County Library District – which remains in operation throughout the project – is a new building that will double the size of the original, according to library officials.
