The Mercy Library Guild of St. John's Regional Medical Center of Joplin is hosting a "Kitchens of Joplin Tour '98."
The Kitchen Tour begins May 9 at four kitchens in the Joplin area.
Advance tickets are $8 and may be purchased at the Mercy Health Resource Library, Famous Barr and Sandstone Gardens, in Joplin, and The Second Street Gallery, in Carthage.
The four showcase kitchens feature
the artistry and craftsmanship of professional home builders from the four-state area.
Area chefs will prepare samples of recipes during the tour, and a bake sale will also be held.
The Mercy Library Guild provides support for fund raising and promotion of the St. John's Mercy Health Resource Library. Proceeds of the event will benefit the library.
