The Joplin Board of Realtors reports home sales are down more than 18 percent for the first few months of 1998.

This estimate is based on a comparison of 1998 home sales to date with those during the same period in 1997. This information comes from the latest Multiple Listing Report.

During the first four months of this year, 380 residential properties were sold.

Last year, 450 homes were sold in those months.
