Ribbon cuttings have been held recently for a number of Joplin businesses.

Vatterott College, 5898 N. Main, held a ribbon cutting for the grand opening of its new Division of Cosmetology.

Abbey Title Company, 520 E. 32nd St., held an open house and ribbon cutting late last month for the opening of its new location. The business is owned by Jim and Barbara Hicklin.

Meanwhile, an official groundbreaking ceremony was held at the future site of Midwest Tool Inc. last month.

The new 42,000 square foot facility will be located in the Joplin-Webb City Industrial Park.

And finally, The Bread Basket opened late last month at the corner of Rangeline Road and 20th Street in Joplin. The store, owned by Chet and Bev Shaw, specializes in homemade bread, baked daily.

Breads will be offered in a variety of flavors, and cookies and pastries will be available, as well.
