St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, has been rewarded for its dedication and support in helping the Missouri Lions eye donation program.

The Missouri Lions Eye Research Foundation recognized the medical center for its efforts since 1997.

During 1997, St. John's received consent for 67 donors to give 134 pairs of eyes, making it the third highest procurement in the area, which includes 100 hospitals.
