Joplin residents are being asked to put on their walking shoes for a good cause.
St. John's Regional Medical Center will hold its 16th annual Walk for Hospice Sept. 26.
C&C Rental Inc., J.A. Curan Jewelers, JC Penney, KMXL Radio, KSNF-TV and Sam's Club are the sponsors for the 1998 Walk for Hospice.
The walk will begin at 9 a.m. at Cunningham Park, 26th Street and Maidenlane Avenue.
Proceeds will benefit the area's Hospice Foundation.

Dame Chiropractic LLC emerged as the new name of Harshman Chiropractic Clinic LLC with the purchase of the business; Leo Kim added a second venture, Keikeu LLC, to 14 Mill Market; and Mercy Springfield Communities opened its second primary care clinic in Ozark.
