Eagle-Picher Technologies LLC has been contracted by the United States government to produce lithium-ion batteries.

The batteries will be made for use on military aircraft as well as satellite spacecraft.

Employees at Eagle-Picher began working on the project four years ago. With this contract, they will be able to work on the design, development, fabrication and testing of the new batteries.
