Springfield, MO
by Carol Harris, Branson area, and Mary Engler-Guccione, Joplin area
As restaurants continue to rise around the Joplin metropolitan area, one is forced to close.
The Boston Market restaurant, 111 N. Range Line Road, closed its doors earlier this month after it was ordered to do so by the parent company.
The closing comes after the national company filed for protection against its creditors in Federal Bankruptcy Court.
The Joplin location was one of 178 stores ordered to close.
More than 900 stores will remain open nationwide.
