The Alaskan Fisherman's Market opened earlier this month in the JC Penney Court in the Northpark Mall, Joplin.

Sherri and Aaron Cummins are the owners.

The Cummins usually make their living as fisherman in Petersburg, Alaska. They wanted to open their own market and sell directly to the public instead of larger companies that freeze the fish and ship it throughout the states.
