Gary D. Duncan, president of Freeman Health System, has been elected to a one-year term as vice president of the Southwest District Council of the Missouri Hospital Association.
The district includes 25 member hospitals throughout southwest Missouri. Duncan will guide discussions about national, state and regional health care policies and report to the MHA.

April 7 was the official opening day for Mexican-Italian fusion restaurant Show Me Chuy after a soft launch that started March 31; marketing agency AdZen debuted; and the Almighty Sando Shop opened a brick-and-mortar space.
