The Granby City Council has passed an ordinance allowing construction of a new Ramey's grocery store in the city.

A tax increment financing plan will be enacted for the construction.

Ramey's plans to build a 20,000-square-foot store near its present location. The existing location will then be vacated and leased as retail space.

The new store will be completed next spring.
