Bee's Discount & Variety, on the south side of the square in Carthage, will become Bee's Old Fashioned Variety and Ben Franklin in June.
The decision was made in early January by Bee's owners, Jack and Sue Vandergriff. The Ben Franklin chain has been around since 1877. The agreement brings the Ben Franklin chain one step closer to its goal of having 2,000 stores by the year 2000.
