A Carthage company is being recognized for its outstanding work not only in the area, but nationwide.

Leggett and Platt has been named one of "America's Most Admired Companies" for 1998 by Fortune magazine.

This recent recognition ranks them in the top 6 percent of nearly 500 corporations.

Companies were rated in several areas, including innovation, quality of management, products and services and long-term investment value.
