Red Oak II, of Carthage, has closed for renovations.
The tourist center that carries the theme and attraction of refurbished homes and general stores from the turn of the century will get some help from a new group of investors.
Carthage native Terry Reed will head the group that will work in conjunction with Red Oak's owners, Lowell and Charlotte Davis.
Renovations include repairs to buildings, a new menu for the restaurant and some special additions to the area, which will be announced later.
A reopening date has not been set.
